At SfNC, we’re passionate about understanding and promoting the science of human creativity, and believe doing so is more important than ever.

The core mission of the Society of the Neuroscience of Creativity is to enable advances in all areas of creativity research by supporting our community of scientific researchers, students, and practitioners, and providing a forum for disseminating and translating creativity research for broad application.

Some of SfNC’s activities in service of our mission include:

  • Organizing and producing our annual conference, maintaining no registration fees for members

  • Sponsoring annual awards for junior scholars in our field: the SfNC Young Investigator, Dissertation, and Sarah A. Burgess awards

  • Several virtual events and programs throughout the year (typically free to the general public), such as our Virtual Midyear Event and our CrossTalk series involving conversations at the intersection of art and science

  • Our monthly newsletter, Creative Currents

  • Creativity research resources and databases on our website

As a small non-profit, we rely on annual memberships and individual donations to support our mission.

We have a goal of raising $10,000 by April 24, 2024 to fund and expand our operations. Please consider donating to SfNC today to support our mission and help us expand the study of human creativity and its impacts.
